City CIO Clint Hubbard to receive Achievement Award
City CIO Clint Hubbard will be honored with an Industry Achievement Award this Thursday, October 19th at the 2006 IT Excellence Awards.
Mr. Hubbard has been with the City of Albuquerque for nine years, having recently retired from the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Colonel of Marines. Having experience with tanks, artillery, infantry and education in hand-to-hand combat, he was well prepared for the duties of CIO. Clint earned his BS from Texas A&M and a MBA from the University of New Mexico.
Clint is a tireless worker who dreams big and executes even bigger. Whether implementing an innovative project like 311 or creating wireless infrastructure, Clint has taken Albuquerque to the forefront of communities as to what an information technology implementation department should look like: high standards, exacting procedures, meaningful deadlines and an unwavering commitment to excellence in day-to-day operations.
The second annual IT Excellence Awards will be held in Albuquerque on October 19th, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency downtown, from 6 to 10pm. The leaders of New Mexico’s information technology community will join for a gala evening to recognize and celebrate excellence and technical achievement in the New Mexico IT industry. Senator Jeff Bingaman will keynote the event. NMITSA has made tickets available on its website, purchasable through Acteva: www.nmitsa.org.
