Richardson announces economic development team
New Mexico Business Weekly - December 30, 2002Governor-elect Bill Richardson announced the appointment of key members to his economic development team on Monday, which include an executive director of an economic development corporation and the president of a technology association.
"The individuals I am announcing today will join with me to recruit and retain high wage jobs, increase trade with Mexico, raise our average wage and create more economic opportunities in New Mexico," said Richardson in a press release.
Members of the team include Noreen Scott, who will act as economic division director. She is currently executive director of the Rio Rancho Economic Development Corporation.
Rachel King will be trade division director, while Randy Burge, president of the New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association (NMITSA), will be science and technology division director.
Other members of the economic development team include Peter Mitchell space division director; Frank Marquez, administrative services division director; and Jennifer Kozlowski, executive assistant to the secretary.
General Hanson Scott has been appointed to director of military base planning and support.
In a press release, Secretary of Economic Development-designate Rick Homans said, "Governor-elect Bill Richardson has helped me put together a dynamic and experienced team of professionals who are committed to building a diverse, vibrant, high wage economy in New Mexico."
