Apogen Technologies, Inc. Announces Acquisition of QinetiQ Trusted Information Management, Inc.
Apogen Technologies, Inc., a top 50 Federal contractor headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, announced today that it has acquired the assets and staff of QinetiQ Trusted Information Management, Inc. (QTIM Inc.). QTIM Inc. has operated as a business unit of QinetiQ North America since 2002. Integrating into Apogen will provide a structure to aggressively pursue new business opportunities for information assurance services in the Federal sector as well as with commercial organizations.

QTIM Inc.’s Total Security Health Check (TSHC) is an advanced assessment and assurance service that provides a definitive report and score on the “health” of an organization’s information security by looking at technical, administrative, people, processes and physical security elements. TSHC incorporates the results of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, process assessment, threat assessment, risk analysis and mitigation, and requirements traceability into a final report that maps the findings to clearly defined requirements and regulatory policies while providing a clear scoring mechanism.

Financial terms of this acquisition were not released.
