Apogen Technologies Director Elected Chairman of NMITSA

Brad Key, software and systems director at Apogen Technologies, was elected chairman of the New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association (NMITSA), a chapter of the Council of Regional Information Technology Associations. NMITSA advocates for the interests of the information technology business community.

“I am proud, on behalf of Apogen Technologies, to take a leading role at NMITSA” said Key. “Our association with NMITSA helps us meet our corporate commitment to supporting the business and IT communities of the cities in which we do business.”

Apogen’s CEO, Todd Stottlemyer, is Vice Chairman of NMITSA’s sister organization, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC). He also served on NVTC’s Board of Directors from 1993-1998.

Apogen has long lasting roots in the Albuquerque community. Founded in 1980 in New Mexico, Science and Engineering Associates (SEA) has grown through strong organic growth as well as mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, SEA merged with ITS Services to become Apogen, establishing a strong national presence.

“Participating in NMITSA allows us to have a continual dialogue with other technology companies, enabling a cooperation and collaboration in the local industry,” said Doug Chandler, President of Federal Technology sector. “Brad is a strong leader who will impact New Mexico’s information technology sector.”

Previously, Key was the co-chair of the NMITSA’s Workforce Education Alliance. The Alliance is a vital partnership between the IT industry and educators to advance the New Mexico’s information technology economy. Their goal is to promote IT career pathways and formal IT standards in public education.
